Maintaining a safe space for victims of abuse takes abundant resources. At DVI, donations of any type are always appreciated, but there are some items we need on a regular basis. Since women often arrive at shelter with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing, we try to provide them with everything necessary to regain some normalcy in their lives. The list below categorizes our needs and lists items in each category in order of importance. Items with an asterisk (***) are especially appreciated.
We have a real need for the Space Saver Vacuum Storage Bags or large lidded plastic totes to help alleviate storage issues for clothing and bedding.
