Transitional Housing Advocate - Full Time

Job Description: A Transitional Housing Advocate will work with residents to develop a service plan to become self sufficient and economically independent. A Transitional Housing Advocate will mentor victims of domestic violence to navigate the education, medical and social service systems.Transitional Housing Advocates will also provide children’s activities. A commitment to working with victims of domestic violence and the ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds are required. Bilingual individuals encouraged to apply. Shelter Support Advocate/Alternate Shelter Support Advocate (Part Time)

Job Description: Shelter Support/Alternate Shelter Support Advocate (SSA/ASSA) positions are available for day, night, weekend and holiday hours (The ASSA staff works primarily nights, weekends and holidays). SSA will provide hotline coverage and direct support services to victims in crisis and in shelter. A commitment to working with victims of domestic violence and the ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds are required. Bilingual individuals encouraged to apply. Clearances required: Act 33 & 34, valid PA drivers license and successful completion of 45 hour domestic violence training E.O.E.No phone calls please.
