DVI collects used cell phones which are in turn reprogrammed with new numbers and provided to victims of domestic violence so they can have access to emergency services when necessary. As part of the Hopeline Community Service Program provided by Verizon Wireless and in conjunction with Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV), phones are provided free of charge to women who meet the necessary criteria. For information on how you can receive one of these special phones, please call DVI at 717.273.7190.
If you or your group, church or organization own cell phones that you are no longer using and would like to donate to the program, please call us at 717.273.7190 to make those arrangements. Any type of phone is acceptable and any accompanying accessories are appreciated.
Beginning in November 2006, we will also accept your brand-name used ink cartridges to recycle. Shelter Alliance has introduced a program where DVI will receive a cash donation for every used ink cartridge we submit. Please call us if you would like to donate your used cartridges.
